114 new outbreaks of African swine fever were reported worldwide from 25 to 7 January. The data is from the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), which shows a total number of 7,927 outbreaks in progress. Of this total, 4,228 outbreaks were recorded in Romania and 1,336 in Vietnam.
Brazilian chicken meat exports were propelled by Asia, Africa and Europe in 2020. According to information from the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), Asia, the main destination for Brazilian protein, imported 1.635 million tons during the year.
