Saudi Arabia increases chicken exports from Brazil

Brazilian chicken continues to stand out in the Arab markets and, according to data from the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), there was an increase in exports to the main protein destinations.
Among the Arab countries, Saudi Arabia was ranked first. The Saudis bought 35,800 tons in January, up 2% over the same month in 2020. Following that are the United Arab Emirates, which acquired 21,700 tons of chicken from Brazil, showing an increase of 3%.
Yemen and Oman have also increased their purchases in the first month of 2021 compared to the same period last year. The first had a 6% increase in volume, with 9.6 thousand tons, and Oman registered an increase of 8.9%, with 5.6 thousand tons of imported chicken.
All in all, Brazilian chicken meat exports totaled 291.6 thousand tons.
