Brazil: beef exports break record
Exports of beef from Brazil achieved a record number for the month of June. According to data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade, linked to the Brazilian Ministry of Economy, 152.4 thousand tons were shipped, 33.1% above the 114.5 thousand tons of June 2019.
Revenue totaled US$ 655.47 million, up 48.2% compared to the previous year (US$ 655.47). The numbers show that Brazilian meat is more valued. Global demand for animal protein aligned with Brazil's ability to provide quality product is pushing exports up and making the market pay good prices for the product.
For the semester, Brazil broke a record in beef exports. It was the largest volume and the highest revenue recorded in the last decade, with 883.5 thousand tons shipped and a yield of US$ 3.88 billion, an increase of 22.9% in revenue and 6.4% in volume for the first six months. of the year.
