Brazil increases pork exports by 14.4% and chicken by 2%
Brazilian animal protein exports continue to rise. In the first 11 months of this year, there was a 14.4% increase in shipments of Brazilian pork and 2% in chicken shipments. According to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), the volumes of 674.2 thousand tons in pork exports and 3.8 million tons of chicken meat were driven by Chinese demand.
In November, pork exports totalized 66.4 thousand tons, up 13.2% over the same period of 2018. In relation to chicken, Brazil sold 332 thousand tons, 3.1 % more than the same month last year.
ABPA believes that even with new players in the market, Chinese demand will continue to be one of the engines of the international market next year.
