USA visit Brazilian slaughterhouses to restart imports of beef

This week, US inspectors started the visits to Brazilian slaughterhouses to evaluate the possibility of restart importing beef in nature from Brazil, which have been suspended since 2017. The visits may happen until the 28th and will take place in six states: Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goias, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul.
In addition to the slaughterhouses, the group will also inspect the Federal Agricultural Defense Laboratories and analysis centers of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.
According to the Minister of Agriculture, Tereza Cristina, Brazil is ready to export beef to the USA, because it has already fulfilled all the demands made by the Americans regarding the quality of the Brazilian product.
