Brazil remains in the second position of world meat exporters

World meat exports are expected to increase by 4.75% in 2019 compared to 2018. FAO forecast for this year is that among the top 10 countries in the world, which will export meat, Brazil appears in second position, with an increase of more than 500 thousand tons or 7.44% growth compared to 2018. From the total volume exported in the world, 21% will be Brazilian, losing only to the US that appears with 23.3%.
The positions of almost all the current ranking members remain the same, except for Australia that may lose the fourth position to Canada.
After the USA and Brazil, follows the European Union (15% from the total), Canada (5%), Australia (5%), India (4%), Thailand (3%), New Zealand (2%), Argentina (2%) and Turkey (1%).
About poultry meat exports, only four countries will continue to dominate the market. In order, Brazil, with 30% of the total predicted, US with 28%, European Union with 12% and Thailand with 9%. These countries will correspond to 80% of the sector's exports.
