The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia, after analyzing the Action Plan developed by Brazil and the results of laboratorial testing, re-opened the Russian market for Brazilian beef and pork meat.
The decision was announced yesterday (October 31th/2018) with a list of nine slaughterhouses (SH) allowed to export to Russian market (five beef and four pork). Both, Producerīs Association (ABPA and ABIEC), are celebrating this decision and believe that other plants will be authorized very soon as well.
For Brazil it is not only a step to recover an important market such as Russia but also an acknowledgment of high quality and assurance of Brazilian meat.
