Frederico Kaefer, the President of KIT International, founded the company along with his wife, Ana Mayra Kaefer. While taking a conclusion course at university and writing his thesis, Frederico and Ana Mayra became motivated by the idea of creating a company to connect and aid clients from all over the world with protein producers in Brazil.

With almost 20 years of experience in the export industry and a focus on the future, they designed a company where it was possible to apply their know-how, including differentials, based on their business and life experiences.
In 2011, they opened the company in the US, making this KIT’s first chicken protein export operations. Soon thereafter, they evolved to trading beef.

On June 22, 2012, KIT Trading began operations with intense prospecting work for Brazilian suppliers. Still in 2012, they had their first experience with a large volume of export of agricultural machinery, and potatoes.
In 2013, the company's physical structures were expanded, increasing the number of employees and operations: Chicken protein was the most exported; Bovine leather began to gain space in operations, surpassing all expectations; Exports were made to Europe, Asia and America; Beef was still being exported in large volumes.

In the same year, KIT International began operating in the United Arab Emirates through a dedicated trader, fueling the local market.

In 2014, chicken exports are strengthened thanks to strong supplier partnerships. Since then, the large volume of beef, leather, and chicken exports continue to exceed expectations.

Between 2016 and 2017, there was a considerable increase of customized projects, increasing the number of employees of the company. Also, Kit increased operations in the Middle East, understanding that the United Arab Emirates needed a distribution center dedicated to serving the local market. KIT’s office was opened in the UAE and a Cold Store for storage of the products was contracted.
